MY CALF CIRCUMFERENCE MEASURES IN BETWEEN TWO SIZE CATEGORIES – SHOULD I PURCHASE THE SMALLER OR LARGER SIZE?

When your calf circumference measures in between two size categories, we recommend that you size up.

WHAT IS THE COMPRESSION LEVEL IN YOUR COMPRESSION RECOVERY TIGHTS?

CEP Compression Pro Recovery products all start with a higher rate of compression than the performance products, measuring 25-30 mmHg, starting at the ankle.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CEP COMPRESSION SOCKS AND CALF SLEEVES AND WHEN SHOULD I WEAR EACH?

We do not recommend that you recover in calf sleeves (keep on for an extended amount of time after running) — while wearing the calf sleeves during periods of inactivity, the blood can begin to pool in your feet. This is especially true on a long flight — never wear sleeves on an airplane. CEP Run Socks are great for performance and recovery — you can wear them during a run and keep them on for hours afterward.

Wearing CEP Socks before, during, and after a run will continuously help with blood flow and venous return. You can even wear them to help your legs feel fresh all day. Get the Run Socks for performance and the Recovery Pro products for maximum compression and recovery.

Sleeves: While active, Never on a plane

Socks: Wear anytime.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MEN’S OR WOMEN’S SIZE III AND IV SOCKS/SLEEVES?

The difference between men’s and women’s socks/sleeves in the same size (III or IV) is the length of the overall sock and foot size — the men’s are slightly longer than the women’s and have larger feet. It’s not uncommon for a taller woman to buy a Men’s size III or IV. Same goes for a shorter man getting a women’s III or IV. The goal is for the sock to come just under the bend of the knee.

WHY SHOULD I WEAR RECOVERY SOCKS WHILE TRAVELING?

Scientific studies show that athletes are at higher risk of suffering from thrombosis (DVT) while traveling. Around 4.5% of travelers on long-distance flights suffer from thrombosis, and nearly 85% of them are athletes. The reason for this is their slower resting heart rate. This increases the risk of stasis. Not only are our socks supremely comfortable for traveling, but they also really help prevent DVT.

Product Care

HOW DO I WASH MY CEP PRODUCTS?

Compression Socks and Calf Sleeves: Machine wash cold or warm, tumble dry low heat (No Wool-Lite or bleach)

Compression Apparel: Machine wash cold with basic detergent, air dry.

WILL WASHING THEM LESS PROLONG THEIR USE?

No, in fact the socks compression profile can be negatively affected by dirt and body oils. Washing them after every wear is highly recommended. Use a garment bag to reduce ‘lint balls’ collecting on the bottom of our socks.

HOW OFTEN DO COMPRESSION SOCKS/SLEEVES NEED TO BE REPLACED?

The more often you wear compression gear, the quicker it wears out. Our compression products will stay consistent for about a year if you wear your socks or sleeves every other day. If you put a lot of miles in and wear them every day, you can expect about 6 months before they’ll need to be replaced — just like a running shoe.

TIPS:

Don't roll the top band down to accommodate length

Putting them on properly will prevent ‘overstretch’

CEP Compression Technology

CAN CEP COMPRESSION DAMAGE MY BODY?

CEP Compression products cannot damage a healthy body under any circumstances because they only provide a positive, performance-enhancing effect. However, for them to be effective it is important for you to take your measurements to determine the correct size.

IS CEP COMPRESSION GEAR JUST FOR PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES?

Absolutely not. Even amateur athletes who want to take care of their bodies and improve their performance will truly appreciate our compression gear. CEP products provide a great fit, quality craftsmanship and assistance in preventing injury.

WILL THESE SOCKS REALLY HELP?

The benefits of CEP products have been underscored by many doctors, scientists, and a number of athletes.

WILL THE SOCKS MAKE ME FASTER?

You can benefit if you train regularly with our socks. The socks promote circulation, which in turn delivers more oxygen to your legs. Compression also decreases muscle vibration, improving efficiency and reducing micro tears. The reduced risk of injury, along with muscle and joint stabilization, naturally results in enhanced performance.

You can further improve these results by wearing CEP Recovery products. Designed with a slightly higher rate of compression starting in the ankle, compression penetrates the deep circulatory system further promoting removal of waste and re-oxygenation of blood.

CAN YOU DEVELOP A DEPENDENCY ON COMPRESSION?

There are no studies that we are aware of that support a dependency on compression.

BUT HOW WILL CEP COMPRESSION PRODUCTS HELP ME, REALLY?

Try them out and see for yourself. We’ve listed plenty of facts above. Of course, our socks aren’t “magic bullets,” but they do offer ideal assistance and improved performance for all of your personal athletic goals.

WHO WEARS CEP?

Anyone who wants to feel better before, during, or after activity. We have seen recreational and professional athletes find great benefits from our products as they improve circulation, speed recovery, and reduce pain and the likelihood of injury.
